Santos stated that she was encouraged by the judiciary's decision to require judges to report misconduct but reiterated LCWA's recommendation that independent investigators, rather than judges or other members of the entrenched judiciary, oversee investigations into allegations of harassment.

We are a group of current and recent law clerks who, in the wake of published reports of harassment within the federal judiciary, banded together to help the federal judiciary combat these problems. We subsequently established Law Clerks for Workplace Accountability, an organization whose mission is to ensure that the federal judiciary provides a safe workplace environment, free of harassment, for all employees and to assist the judiciary in reaching this goal.
